Module 5 illustrates how organizations can use data to design a gender equality strategy that includes a business case for gender equality. The module will also demonstrate how to set specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-based (SMART) goals and targets for gender equality and how to plan interventions and activities using a change management approach.
This session introduces some critical activities that serve as building blocks to complete the GAP. You should complete the activities as homework and submit work to your assigned coach at the designated deadline.
- Learn how to design and implement a gender equality strategy and engage stakeholders, including organizational leadership, in gender equality efforts.
- Learn the basics of creating and tracking a budget to increase gender equality and diversity.
- Learn to report on gender equality, diversity targets, and KPIs.
- Brainstorm how the content and issues presented in this module could be addressed in your GAP.

- Take time after the module concludes to brainstorm ideas in your GAP. After this module, continue collaborating with your colleagues to refine the following:

- Stakeholder Mapping Matrix
- Complete the activities in this section and submit them as homework to your assigned coach.
- Review content you already documented in your GAP and update according to what you learned today.
- Before the next session, review your organization’s website; search for publicly available organizational reports on gender and diversity indicators; and analyze the pictures and wording used to present the organization, products, services, and workforce. Bring electronic or printed copies of your organization’s website or communications pieces if possible.
